A beloved crime-solving psychotherapist returns in 'Suspect'. A twisted true crime tale is told in 'The Sixth Commandment'. A former model hits rock bottom in 'Spent'. Here are all the shows coming to SBS On Demand in September.

Crime-solving psychotherapist Dr Susannah Newman returns, and this time, she's out of her depth. When Jon, a mysterious new patient, admits under hypnosis he kills women and intends on killing a girl that evening, Susannah knows he must be stopped at all costs. Jon escapes and Susannah contacts the police and her former lover, DSI Richard Groves. But when Richard, with the support of his wife Natasha, refuses to take action on the matter, Susannah is forced to save the girl on her own.

Suspect season 2 premieres Monday 2 September on SBS On Demand.

The Sixth Commandment - season 1

A meeting between an inspirational teacher struggling to reconcile his Anglican faith with his sexuality and a charismatic student in Buckinghamshire, ends up setting the stage for one of the most complex criminal cases in recent memory. Ben Field forms a relationship with his former teacher Peter Farquhar, preying on his newfound feelings of isolation during his retirement. As Ben and Peter’s relationship progresses, Peter begins to worry that he is becoming sick with a mysterious and frightening illness after he experiences a hallucination during a lecture. Together they conclude that alcohol might be behind his sudden decline, but when Peter is discovered dead on his couch, questions about the nature of his connection to Ben arise. This drama is based on a true story.

The Sixth Commandment premieres Wednesday 4 September on SBS and SBS On Demand. Episodes air Wednesdays on SBS from 9:25PM.

Criminal profiler Louise Bergstein must face the darkness once more with two new brutal murder cases. In season 3, Bergstein in determined to hunt down the person responsible for the murder of a couple. Shadowy paths will lead her to a main suspect with a desperate past, as her own history of grim cases begins to catch up with her. In season 4, Bergstein must question whether or not a person's sense of justice can take them too far, after the execution of a young gang member triggers a murder mystery across the entire Øresund region.

Those Who Kill season 3 premieres on Thursday 12 September on SBS On Demand. Those Who Kill season 1 and 2 will also be available on SBS On Demand on the same day. Season 4 coming soon.

Former model Mia faces the harsh reality that her glamorous career is over. She's bankrupt, pushing 40, has nowhere to sleep and no longer afford the luxurious life she's grown accustomed to. Running from her problems (and ultimately, herself) she flees back to her hometown in London in a bid to keep up high-end appearances. However, much to her chagrin, she finds the world she left behind has drastically changed while she was away. Caught between the shame of her situation and the life she wants to lead, Mia must make a new life for herself. Will the debts catch up with her before it's too late?

Spent season 1 premieres on Friday 13 September on SBS On Demand.

Based on Marcia Luyten's biography on the life and history of Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, Maxima tells the dramatised story of the Argentina-born Dutch Queen, her early life in New York and her engagement to Prince Willem-Alexander. From the moment Maxima appears at the Dutch Crown Prince‘s side, she finds herself in the spotlight. But when Willem-Alexander asks her to marry him, the past catches up with her. Heated discussions erupt about her father‘s political career in the Argentinian Videla regime – something she never faced in her own circles - and Maxima must come face to face with her history.

Maxima season 1 premieres on Thursday 19 September on SBS On Demand.

A virus infiltrating people's brains has caused intelligence across the globe to drop to unsurvivable levels. In other words, the world has ended! To deliver the vaccine to the mysterious Station Echo, where it is rumoured the nation's smartest are bunkered down in hiding. However the biggest threat to their success is not the hordes of zombies (aptly named dumbies) waiting for them in the outside world, but the lack of survival skills that all six of the survivors possess. Humanity's worst hope for survival might just be the only chance it has.

Through intimate moments, light-hearted quips and immersive experiences, Micallef will unravel unexpected truths about his guests. Origin Odyssey stars comedians Aaron Chen, Arj Barker, Lizzy Hoo, Dilruk Jayasinha, Michael "Wippa" Wipfli and Nina Oyama.

Shaun Micallef's Origin Odyssey season 1 premieres Tuesday 24 September on SBS On Demand at same time as broadcast. Episodes air Tuesdays on SBS from 7:30PM.

The Hunt - season 1

When the body of a young girl is found in the forest, the hunt is on for the person responsible. On the case is diligent detective Lea Smith and forensic psychologist Thomas Wolf, who wrestle with internet theories, small-town conspiracies and an overwhelming sense of grief in their pursuit of the truth. The Hunt is inspired by a true crime case that gripped The Netherlands for more than a decade. After a 16-year-old girl was found dead next to an asylum seeker's centre just outside of town, xenophobia, prejudice and bizarre online theories took told of the country. Ultimately, the person responsible was not found for 12 years.

The Hunt season 1 premieres on Thursday 26 September on SBS On Demand.
