Saturday January 2 – O, Brother Where Art Thou?

Led by petty criminal Everett Ulysses McGill (George Clooney), a trio of convicts doing hard labour on a chain gang in Mississippi make a dash for freedom and embark on a mission to recover a fortune in buried treasure, but the trio get entangled in a series of unexpected adventures along the way, with lawman Cooley (Daniel Von Bargden) in pursuit.

Sunday January 3 – Rojo

Writer/director Benjamin Naishtat's superbly sinister and stylish thriller explores the madness and moral decline of mid-1970s Argentina, just before Jorge Videla’s right-wing military coup.

Saturday January 9 – The Front Runner

Gary Hart, former Senator of Colorado, becomes the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1987. Hart's intelligence, charisma and idealism makes him popular with young voters, leaving him with a seemingly clear path to the White House. All that comes crashing down when allegations of an extramarital affair surface in the media.

Sunday January 10 – Jailbreak Pact

This 2020 Chilean drama is inspired by a real event in 1990, when 49 political prisoners escaped from a tunnel that took 18 months to dig, in what was seen as a symbolic victory against the Pinochet military regime then in power.

Saturday January 16 – Lord of War

The 20-year arms dealing career of Queens, N.Y., outcast Yuri Orlov (Nicolas Cage) serves as a window onto the end of the Cold War and the emergence of worldwide terrorism. He finds himself reassuring his more ethically challenged younger brother, Vitaly (Jared Leto), while sidestepping the pursuit of federal agent Jack Lawrence (Ethan Hawke). The globetrotting arms dealer also pursues the woman of his dreams, supermodel Ava Fontaine (Bridget Moynahan).

Sunday January 17 – The Heist of the Century

Released this year, the film is based on a series of events: In 2006, a group of thieves performed what is considered one of the most famous bank heists in the history of Argentina when they robbed the Banco Río branch in Acassuso, armed with toy weapons.

Saturday January 23 – Source Code

When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the 'Source Code,' a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last eight minutes of his life.
