Robert Rodriguez directed Quentin Tarantino and George Clooney as brothers Seth and Richard Gecko in this 1996 film. The Geckos escape Texas to Mexico after a violent bank robbery. All they need to do now is survive from dusk till dawn, pay off the kingpin and they’re home free. Harvey Keitel and Juliette Lewis co-star.

This doco explores how she became an unlikely cultural hero, building a prolific decades-long career. With her own call-in TV show, Talk Sex, her MO was to empower people, be they public school kids in Toronto or the late-night viewers of Letterman and Conan O’Brien (almost everyone but Sue is visibly uncomfortable talking about sex). Directed by journalist Jessica Hopper, this four-part docu-series charts the groundbreaking legends who rock our world. Over 40 women, including Chaka Khan, Sheryl Crowe, Kim Gordon and Rickie Lee Jones, talked to Hopper about the passion driving their careers and lyrics, and the heady world of rock’n’roll.

Vagrant Queen
It’s a long way from child queen to scavenger: Vagrant Queen follows former child queen Elida (played by singer and actress Adriyan Rae), who’s been on the run and making ends meet as a scavenger and outlaw since her mother was killed. But when Isaac, an old friend, finds her and tells her that her mother is still alive, she must travel across the galaxy to stage a rescue mission. To save her mother, Elida, Isaac (Tim Rozon – Schitt’s Creek) and an optimistic mechanic, Amae (Alex McGregor), must break into the heavily guarded region of space where Elida once ruled. Meanwhile, the increasingly deranged Commander Lazaro is chasing them down.

Am I Being Unreasonable?
Written by and starring real-life mates Selin Hizli as Jen and Daisy May Cooper as Nic, this clever comedy involves obsessive friendship, maternal paranoia and a missing cat. Jen lights up Nic’s rather sad life and drama ensues, all while the laughs keep coming. Nic’s young son Ollie (Lennie Rush) is an great addition to the ensemble cast.
