MOVIES

High Rise

Adapted from J.G. Ballard's dystopian novel, High-Rise stars Tom Hiddleston as a young doctor, Robert Laing, who after his divorce, moves into a new apartment west of London. Despite seeking soulless anonymity, he soon finds out that the building’s residents have no intention of leaving him alone. Laing bites the bullet and becomes neighbourly. But as he struggles to establish his position within the complex social dynamics unfolding around him, Laing’s good manners and sanity disintegrate along with the building.

Accion Mutante

In a future world ruled by good-looking people, a terrorist group of mutants led by Ramon Yarritu kidnap the daughter of Orujo, a rich businessman, to claim for the rights of the ugly people. Escaping from the police in their spaceship, Ramon try to kill his gang in order to get all the ransom. The trip ends abruptly when they crash in Axturiax, the planet of the crazy miners where no woman lives.

Saturn 3

Two lovers (Kirk Douglas and Farrah Fawcett) stationed at a remote base in the asteroid fields of Saturn are intruded upon by a retentive technocrat from Earth (Harvey Keitel) and his charge: a malevolent 8-ft robot. Remember, in space no one can hear you scream.

TV Drama

Counterpart

This new espionage series explores a mysterious world hidden beneath the surface of our everyday existence... Howard Silk (J.K. Simmons), a lowly cog in a Berlin-based UN spy agency, discovers that his organisation safeguards the secret of a crossing into a parallel dimension, where the only man he can trust is his near-identical counterpart from this parallel world.

The Handmaid's Tale

The award-winning drama series returns with a second season shaped by Offred’s pregnancy and her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead.

Transfer

After five years in a coma, Florian Bassot wakes up in the body of a man called Sylvain Bernard. With no understanding of how or why he’s been “transferred,” he discovers with horror that he must either face arrest for being a transfer, or hide the truth. Either way, he has no chance of reuniting with his wife and children. He assumes the identity of Sylvain, who’s a detective with BAIT, the Brigade Against Illegal Transfers. His first mission is to arrest Novak, an unstable “shell shock” victim who is determined to see him dead.
