Last year, I watched all 39 seasons of Survivor during periods of being bedridden, as well as just any time I was too sick or fatigued to leave the house. It was great!

If you’re new to the self-isolation game, you may find yourself at a loose end, bored, climbing up the walls at the thought of not being able to leave the house. Trust me, you’ve got this! The key to a good self-isolation is distracting yourself. Look at this time as a little challenge to watch as many shows on your list as possible, to branch out of your entertainment comfort zone and dive into a series you’re unfamiliar with!

It’s the golden age of television, and there’s something out there for us all. Below is a list of shows you can stream for free right now at SBS On Demand to help distract you. If you’re feeling brave, , which will really help you lean into the whole experience. Either way, I’ve got your back. From a distance, with a face mask on, just in case. Enjoy!

On Becoming a God in Central Florida

First, I should tell you that I am extremely biased because Kirsten Dunst is my queen and I for her various works. That said, this weird, wacky, wonderful show about pyramid schemes will suck you into its dark, funny world and help you forget your woes.

On Becoming A God In Central Florida is now streaming .

New Girl

All seven seasons of New Girl are streaming right now, and if there’s ever been a time to lean into a show that is lighthearted, fun and – yes, adorkable – it’s now.

Seasons 1–7 of New Girl are now binge-ready .

The X-Files

Okay, there are nine seasons of The X-Files streaming online at the moment. Would I be able to get through all of them in two weeks? I’d like to think so, but it would be a stretch. Still, nothing wrong with continuing a TV binge after you’re done with isolation, right?

Seasons 1–9 of The X-Files are now streaming .

The Young Pope / The New Pope

Jude Law is a hot pope. Honestly, that should be enough to sell you on it, but just in case, I’ll add that John Malkovich is in the second season.

and follow-up are both now at SBS On Demand.

The Young Pope:

The New Pope:

Based on Lindy West’s hit book, Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman, this comedy follows Annie Easton (Aidy Bryant, Saturday Night Live) as she attempts to better her life without having to change her body. If you need a self-esteem booster, Shrill will remind you that you’re just as good and worthy as anyone else, even if you can’t leave the house right now.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Shrill are now streaming .

You’re the Worst

If dark humour and cynicism is what gets you through tough times, look no further than You’re the Worst. With all five seasons streaming, now’s the perfect time to dive in, or kick off a rewatch, as Gretchen and Jimmy tackle fear, heartbreak, romance, sex, food, Los Angeles, Sunday Funday and friendship.

Wondering what life will be like when you can finally leave the house again? Back To Life will offer some perspective. The Twelve

If you’re like me and you’ve watched every crime series on [redacted] and [redacted], it’s time to branch out!
