Jazz Jennings first gained fame two years ago when she came out as transgender on Youtube in a video viewed millions of views. She’s since starred in her own reality show, I Am Jazz and penned a book about her life.

The 16-year-old is now a model for the world’s first transgender doll, created by the Tonner Doll Company.
"This is the first transgender doll on the market, and guess what?! It's ME!!!," Jennings wrote on Instagram.
"Tonner Doll Co. did a great job of creating this beautiful item! It will be available in July, and I hope that it can place transgender people in a positive light by showing that we are just like all other people."

Jennings clarified her comment about the figure being the first of its kind.

“It's based on an individual who is trans. Of course, it is still just a regular girl doll because that's exactly what I am: a regular girl!" Jennings wrote on Instagram.
The founder of Tonner Doll Co, Robert Tonner, first saw Jennings on television when she appeared on 20/20 in 2007.

“Jazz stands for everything I respect from a human nature point of view – she’s incredibly brave, intelligent, warm-hearted and creative,” says Tonner.

The Jazz Jennings doll will debut in New York this July.
