Move over Mr. Ratburn!

A new children's animation series is coming to streaming giant Hulu - and it revolves around a character with same-sex parents.

The Bravest Knight is based on the kids' book by Daniel Errico (The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived) and is centred on relationships between Sir Cedric, his husband Prince Andrew, their 10-year-old daughter Nia, and the local troll, Grunt.
The series follows the story of Nia, who is on a mission to become a brave knight, following in the steps of her father as he tells stories from his youth.

A breakthrough for LGBTIQ+ representation in children's entertainment, the series features an all-star lineup of voice-over actors including RuPaul, Christine Baranski, Wanda Sykes, Teri Polo, Steven Weber, Donna Murphy, AJ McLean, Dot-Marie Jones, Maz Jobrani, and Chance Hurstfield.

Thirteen episodes of the series have been ordered by Hulu.
