Star Wars actor Donald Glover has finally addressed the discussion surrounding his character Lando Calrissian's sexuality - and he did so in a typically cool fashion.

Speaking ahead of the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Glover said it made complete sense of Lando to be pansexual.
"How can you not be pansexual in space?" he said during an interview with radio program.

"There are so many things to have sex with."
Glover continued: "Yeah, he's coming on to everybody."

"It just didn't seem that weird to me 'cause I feel like if you're in space it's kind of like, the door is open!"

The subject of Lando's sexuality has been discussed before, with Solo co-writer Jonathan Kasdan saying that he wished he could have explored it further.
"There's a fluidity to [Donald's portrayal of Lando's] sexuality. I mean, I would have loved to have gotten a more explicitly LGBT character into this movie," he told the .

"I think it's time, certainly, for that, and I love the fluidity — sort of the spectrum of sexuality that Donald appeals to and that droids are a part of."

Solo: A Star Wars Story is released in cinemas today.
