Pop singer Britney Spears may never perform again, according to her longtime manager Larry Rudolph, with the star last week that her father, Jamie Spears, kept her in a mental health facility against her will - seemingly validating her fans' .

Rudolph has speculated that Spears may never be “physically, mentally, and passionately ready” to return to the intense commitments of performing, with the hit-maker indefinitely postponing a new series of shows at her Vegas residency back in February,
In an interview with , Rudolph said: “As the person who guides her career, based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis, it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again.”

The star's decision to cancel rehearsals for her Vegas residency came after her father became unwell late last year, with Rudolph describing Spears’ personal life at the time as a “perfect storm”.
