Swiss rider Silvan Dillier tested positive just before he travelled to Italy and must be quarantined for 10 days.
"I've had more tests in the past few days, and they have all been negative. Even with a blood test, all values were good."
Dillier believes the virus positive was returned in the first two tests because he came into contact with the virus in the past few months 'but I can no longer infect anyone.'
Despite all returning two negative tests in the past few days, he and his family must also self-isolate for 10 days.
"The whole health system is a damn joke! In my opinion, it is borderline to simply imprison healthy people."
The 2018 Paris Roubaix runner up said he would feel differently if he had symptoms and if he believed he could infect others, "but that's just not correct," says Dillier.
