SEM’s import point guard Keifer Sykes put 21 points on the board on Wednesday night against New Zealand, reminding everybody of what he was doing earlier in the season.

Simon Mitchell: “The head of the snake has been missing for a little while. For us to make a run, for us to finish with some momentum and for us to make a splash if we make the playoffs, we need Keifer playing at a really high level.”

2. Magnay returns


There will be some feeling in this one as former Bullet Will Magnay makes his much-anticipated return to Brisbane – this time as a Wildcat.

3. Fighting for finals


The Hawks need to keep winning and, after a couple of really good wins, the Breakers present yet another tough challenge.

Key Matchup: Finn Delany v Sam Froling – Froling has been terrific this season but he’ll have his work cut out for him trying to contain an in-form Delany.

4. Throwdown IX

The cross-town rivals both sit inside the top three but with the playoffs right around the corner, there’s a lot on the line in the final ‘Throwdown’ of the regular season.

Sydney Kings v Adelaide 36ers

Sunday 17:00 AEST tip-off - SBS Viceland and SBS On Demand

5. Rematch


The Kings and 36ers fought out a classic last week at Qudos Bank Arena as the 36ers claimed victory in overtime. This time Sydney will be after revenge.

Cairns Taipans v Perth Wildcats

Monday 19:30 AEST tip-off - SBS On Demand

6. Weary Wildcats


After playing Melbourne on Thursday and Brisbane on Saturday, this will be Perth’s third game in six days. Can the Taipans catch them napping?

Key Matchup: Scott Machado v Bryce Cotton – These guys won’t spend much time matched up directly but they finished first and second in MVP voting last year and are both vital to their team’s success.
