A fine all-round performance from Ellyse Perry has helped Australia wrap-up their one day series against India in Vadodara.

The visitors took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after beating India by 60 runs at Reliance Stadium on Thursday.

Opener Nicole Bolton (84 from 88 balls) and Perry (70 from 70) were the fulcrum of the Australian innings as they amassed a strong 9-287.

Beth Mooney chipped in with a quickfire 56 off just 40 balls.

India got off to a strong start and were 0-88 in the 18th over before left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen removed the dangerous Smriti Mandhana who'd rocketed to 67 off just 40 balls.

From there a steady stream of wickets fell for the Indians, who then struggled to keep up with the ballooning run rate.

Jonassen finished with 3-51 as Perry chipped in with the wicket of No.4 Mithali Raj (15) and tailender Poonam Yadav (3) for figures of 2-41.

"Winning the first two games has been incredibly important to us,' said Perry.

"Something that's so pleasing is we've come off a really long summer at home and all the girls have played a lot of cricket but we've all come into this tournament with so much enthusiasm and energy and have really wanted to perform well over here in these conditions.

"For me, that's two of the most clinical and professional performances we've done. We've really stuck to our game plans and processes and I think that's really showing because of the professionalism and how much cricket we've played in the last 12 months, but particularly over our summer.

"It's been a really great start for us but we have a lot of cricket left too."

The third game is on Sunday ahead of a T20 tri-series including England.
