Lewis Jetta could make Eagles return

After spending weeks in the wilderness, Lewis Jetta could be given a chance to make amends.

Forgotten West Coast Eagles recruit Lewis Jetta could be set for a recall, with coach Adam Simpson expected to make significant changes.

Simpson was disappointed with his side’s performance last weekend against Adelaide, particularly their last quarter fade out.

Last year’s grand finalists sit on the fringe of the top eight, with Port Adelaide, Carlton and Melbourne breathing down their neck.

Jetta hasn’t set the world on fire since being dropped and sent back to the WAFL, with the flyer managing just eight disposals for East Perth in his last outing a fortnight ago.

But Simpson believes the 27-year-old can potentially offer something to his under performing side.

“He was disappointing a couple of weeks ago, but he’s doing some really good things on the track and during the week. He’s definitely one who’s in the mix.

“Our ball use, I thought, was one of the main factors on the weekend that fell down - our inability to connect - and he’s one guy who can do that.

“He’s also a player who’s played 150-odd games. I know it (good form) is in there. I know we got him for a reason”, said Simpson.

The Eagles travel to Brisbane to meet the Lions on Saturday.
