This year's Logie Awards saw a record- breaking number of Indigenous talent being nominated with four Indigenous actors up for top prizes.
Rob Collins walked away with his first Logie for his work on Channel 10’s Wrong Girl and the ABC’s Cleverman.
During his acceptance speech he thanked his family, wife and children for their continuous support.
“I’m Territory proud, so to all the Territorians watching at home, thank you," he said.
“And last but certainly not least, to my long suffering family, to my beautiful wife Laetitia for keeping vigil in the hotel room … I can’t wait to share this with you."
He also thanked his family in the Tiwi Islands and spoke in language.
Nominee and performer, Jessica Mauboy took the stage and got everybody moving with a string of her hits including a cover of Land of a Thousand Dances which she performed during her role on film The Sapphires.
Mauboy was nominated for Best Actress for her work on Channel 7’s Secret Daughter but lost out to Jessica Marais.
Fellow singer, Casey Donovan also took the stage by storm and got a standing ovation for her rendition of David Bowie’s Heroes for the memorial section of the award show.

With five leading Indigenous actors, the show tells a story of teens who move to the city to explore their dreams.
Other Indigenous actor nominees included Deborah Mailman, who was nominated for her work on Stan’s Wolfcreek for Most Outstanding Actress and Cleverman actor, Hunter-Page Lochard, nominated for the prestigious Graham Kennedy Breakthrough Star of Tomorrow Award.
Other Indigenous nominees included ABC’s Black Comedy, Cleverman and former NITV News’ Laura Murphy-Oates for her proposal.
