Case adjourned for teacher charged with common assault of an Indigenous teenager

The former teacher of an independent Aboriginal school in Queensland's south will appear again in two weeks.

A teacher charged with the common assault of an Indigenous teenager will appear in court again in two weeks, after a reprieve was granted by a Queensland court.

38-year-old Liam Bromilow of Deebing Heights appeared before Ipswich magistrate's court on Wednesday,

It follows a complaint made the teenager and an investigation by detectives from the Ipswich Child Protection and Investigation Unit.

The case was adjourned until next month.
