"President Pussygrabber": George R.R. Martin totally predicted the US election result

If there's a guy who saw this all coming, you really don't want it to be the man who tells stories about homicidal boy kings and political massacres.

Alas, that's what has happened as Game Of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin took to his blog to address the news that Donald Trump had been officially elected as the President of the United States.

The 68-year-old used his best-selling fantasy series as a point of reference when digesting the new political landscape, saying: "Winter is coming. I told you so."

Titling the post 'President Pussygrabber' on hisNot A Blog, Martin's comments weren't exactly cheery.

"There are really no words for how I feel this morning," he said.
"America has spoken. I really thought we were better than this. Guess not.

"Trump was the least qualified candidate ever nominated by a major party for the presidency."

Martin added that by the beginning of 2017, the situation is only going to get "much worse".

"Come January, he will become the worst president in American history, and a dangerously unstable player on the world stage," he added.

"And the decimated Democrats, a minority in both House and Senate, do not have the power to hinder him.

"Over the next four years, our problems are going to get much, much worse."
