Politicians urged to reflect on 'disgusting' refugee rhetoric in wake of Christchurch attacks

NEWS: The prime minister and other politicians joined religious leaders on Sunday to show a united front against hate speech, but some say political rhetoric is part of the problem.

Australia's politicians have been urged to consider their role in fanning hate speech in some parts of the community in the wake of the New Zealand mosque attacks. 

About 200 people rallied outside the New Zealand consulate in Sydney against

NSW Greens Senator Mehreen Faruqi attended the anti-Islamophobia rally saying some of her colleagues in Parliament are part of the problem.
