Insomnia: In the still of the night

The older you get it seems harder to sleep - with chronic insomnia linked to an increased risk of developing hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, heart attack, depression, anxiety and premature death. But there's good news for the restless.

How did you sleep last night? If you’re over 65, I hope it was better than many others your age. 

In  by the National Institute on Aging of more than 9,000 Americans aged 65 and older, more than half said they had difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. Many others who believe they spend an adequate number of hours asleep nonetheless complain of not feeling rested when they get up.
