It all started with this post on social media by Thai NavySEAL facebook page—that all 13 souls have been successfully freed from Tham Luang Nang Non cave complex in Thailand's northernmost Chiang Rai Province—in the most logic-defying and nail-biting efforts the world has ever seen in a long time, and rightly so ... many erupted in cheers and teary-eyed elation.
Not long after, Donald and Melania Trump, the latter through her First Lady of The United States twitter account, followed suit:
Little doubt that the entire Moo Pa (Wild Boar) Academy football team will be delighted by this invitation from Manchester United FC—for them to visit the club's home stadium as guests. Many social media users gratefully noted that their rescuers were also included in the invitation, whilst some suggested that the family of former Thai navy SEAL Saman Kunan, who died in the rescue operation, should also be acommondated.
British Prime Minister, Theresa May, who is battling the latest Brexit crises after Boris Johnson quit, gave her time to salute the bravery of all involved.
Social media users, such as @tahaa_lone on Twitter, were quick to point out that FIFA's offer for the boys to attend World Cup's final match still stands.
And some believed "The world has just found its most inspiring and courageous football team." (@kapilsingh on Twitter)
Sir Richard Branson, one of the world's most well known tycoons, and Mia Farrow, Hollywood's enduring star also joined in.
During the last stage of the rescue operation, Elon Musk tweeted about gifting his "Minisub"—"Leaving here in case it may be useful in the future. Thailand is so beautiful".
Beautiful. And courageous, many of us would agree, as to how this rescue effort stupendously defied all odds. This is perhaps, one of those rarest occasions, of the very best display of humanity. When we all come together, 'miracle' happens.
