Tejaspreet Kaur has been celebrated as dux of St Aloysius College, Adelaide, after earning a State Merit Award with an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 99.30.

The dux of the school title is given to a student who achieves the highest mark in assessment in the Year 12 program of study.

After passing her school in flying colours, Tejaspreet is now looking forward to see an acceptance in a medical degree.

“I always wanted to be in a profession that can bring change to other people’s lives. I am from a medico family and I think I won’t be different from them,” she said in an interview with SBS Punjabi.
“I owe this success to my parents who have provided me with the opportunity for a bright future.
“I would also like to thank my teachers, family members and friends. It was all made possible with their motivation.

Asked for her secret to success, she said it all depends on one’s character and mentality.

“I see hard work and motivation as key elements here, not only during studentship but in all walks of life."
