Two luxury cars have been stolen from a Point Cook home in the latest of a spate of crime in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

A CCTV camera captured the moments while thieves drove away a Mercedes and a BMW after ransacking the house.  The thieves managed to break into the house without waking the family sleeping inside.
The thieves arrived in a stolen car which they parked a short distance from the home they targeted, and then calmly stole a white Mercedes and parked it next to the get-away car. They then stole the second luxury car, a blue BMW, and the convoy of the stolen cars drove away.

The young family is relieved that the thieves did not harm them.

“I am actually glad that they did not come upstairs. They just took whatever they needed and they went away. All I know is when I woke up I heard the exhaust and they took off… they took the cars and took off,” a young male told 7 News.

The Tuesday morning incident was closely preceded by an incident of aggravated burglary that left a young Indian family terrified in Williams Landing. Police were involved in a dramatic chase before four teenagers were arrested for the Williams Landing incident.
