Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh booked in domestic violence case

A domestic violence case has been filed against cricketer Yuvraj Singh, his brother and mother.

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s sister-in-law Akanksha Sharma has alleged that Yuvraj Singh and his family has mentally and financially tortured her.

has reported that the domestic violence case has been filed in Gurugram. Akanksha’s lawyer Swati Singh Malik confirmed the domestic violence case to news and entertainment portal.

Gurugram police has booked a case against Akanksha’s husband, Zoravar Singh, her mother-in-law Shabnam and brother-in-law Yuvraj Singh. Akanksha has claimed that her mother-in-law and husband had been pressuring her to conceive and had also subjected her to “mental and financial torture”. She also claimed that Yuvraj Singh has been a “mute spectator” to all her “suffering”.

Yuvraj Singh’s brother Zorawar and Akanksha got married in 2014 and during her stint in TV show Big Boss, she had revealed that she had walked out of the marriage after just four months due to harassment from in-laws. They had files for a divorce last year.

A notice has been sent to Yuvraj Singh’s family and the first court hearing in the case is scheduled for October 21st
