‘Gully Boy’ star Ranveer Singh is known for his antics, but this time one of his impromptu stunts turned out to be a literal ‘hit’ for some of his fans who were standing close to the stage during a fashion event in Mumbai.

The overzealous actor reportedly ended up hurting some of his fans when he hurtled himself into the unassuming crowd on the final day of the Lakme Fashion Week on Sunday.

The video of his crowd dive that has gone viral on social media shows the star grooving to the songs of his upcoming film ‘Gully Boy’ one moment, and in the next, he fixes his hair and launches himself straight into the crowd, landing right on top of them, sending some of them sprawling to the ground.
After his epic jump, many of his fans who witnessed the scene took to social media to report their ‘injuries’.

Arunabha whose friend was at the event tweeted that he got a “really bad neck sprain because of his stupid act”.
Another fan called out the star for his “childish antics” and asked him to “Grow Up!” which triggered a war of words between his fans and the so-called detractors who disapproved of Singh’s behaviour.
Meanwhile, a snapshot of Ranveer’s apparent apology is also doing the rounds on the internet which reads "I will be mindful henceforth. Thank you for your love and concern."

This isn’t the first time that Ranveer has pulled off such stunts.

In the past, he has jumped upon movie banners, broken into impromptu dance numbers on streets, terraces and even hugs to promote his films and to showcase his love for his fans.

The free-spirited star had also taken a similar leap of faith during the music launch of his film when the fans escaped unhurt and chased their favourite star to the exit.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy which also stars Alia Bhatt is slated to hit the theatres on February 14.
