Scientists around the world are in a race to find out how avian and bird-related influenza H-5-N-1 is evolving and would be dangerous even for humans. Last month, a farmer in the animal husbandry industry was infected with the virus. This is the first known case that the virus has passed from an animal to a human person. And while bird and bird flu tomorrow has to be found in Australia, experts are warning that its arrival here is irreversible and we should be prepared.
