Secondo le autorità di Hamas è di 40 morti e una ventina di feriti il bilancio di un pesante raid aereo israeliano su un campo profughi nella Striscia di Gaza. Tel Aviv sostiene che nel campo profughi si nascondesse uno dei quartier generali di Hamas, mentre l'organizzazione palestinese sostiene che nell'accampamento nei pressi di Khan Younis colpito da quattro missili ci fossero solo civili palestinesi. Almeno 20 tendoni sono andati a fuoco e nel luogo del bombardamento rimangono crateri profondi anche nove metri. Il segretario generale delle Nazioni Unite Antonio Guterres ha condannato il raid.
"As I said, the level of suffering we are witnessing in Gaza is unprecedented in my mandate as Secretary General of the United Nations, I've never seen such a level of death and destruction as we are seeing in Gaza in the last few months."

"Siamo pronti a fornire un passaggio sicuro a Sinwar, alla sua famiglia, a chiunque voglia unirsi a lui. Vogliamo riportare a casa gli ostaggi. Vogliamo la smilitarizzazione e ovviamente la deradicalizzazione di Gaza, un nuovo sistema che gestirà la Striscia", ha affermato.

In Australia si avvicina il divieto di accesso ai social media per i minori di 14 anni.
Il Primo Ministro Anthony Albanese annuncerà oggi martedì una nuova legislazione per imporre un'età minima di accesso ai social media.
Il disegno di legge, basato su un rapporto dell'ex giudice capo dell'Alta Corte Robert French, sarà presentato prima delle prossime elezioni.
Albanese ha dichiarato a Channel Seven che l'obiettivo non è solo quello di proteggere i bambini dai danni dei social media.
"What we want to do is to get our kids off their devices and onto the footy fields or the netball courts, to get them interacting with real people, having real experiences. And we know that social media is doing social harm, so that's why we put funding in the budget to have this age verification. trial, we want to make sure we get it right."

According to the Hamas authorities, the toll of a heavy Israeli air raid on a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip is 40 dead and around 20 wounded. Tel Aviv claims that one of the Hamas headquarters was hiding in the refugee camp, while the Palestinian organisation claims there were only Palestinian civilians in the camp near Khan Younis hit by four rockets. At least 20 tents were set on fire, and craters up to 9 etres deep remain at the bombing site. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the raid.

According to the Gaza authorities, 40,900 Palestinians have died since the start of the Israeli military offensive in Gaza on 7 October.

Australia is moving closer to a social media ban for children under 14.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced new legislation to enforce a minimum age for social media access.
The bill, based on a report by former High Court chief justice Robert French, will be introduced before the next election.
Mr Albanese tells Channel Seven the move is not only about protecting children from social media harm.
"What we want to do is to get our kids off their devices and onto the footy fields or the netball courts, to get them interacting with real people, having real experiences.
