A non-profit organisation, The Kogarah Storehouse provides assistance for community especially Indonesian background who are affected by COVID-19 and need assistance.


Ms. Lala Noronha, as General Manager of the Kogarah Storehouse foundation, explained the activities of one of its subsidiary, INDOSOS in Kogarah, St George's area, South Sydney.

INDOSOS / Indonesian Social Service Sydney is a community service program formed by Payuguban Priangan Sydney (PPS) in collaboration with the Kogarah Storehouse.


One of its activities is to help fellow Indonesians in Sydney affected by COVID-19, such as students and people who have lost their jobs and are not eligible to get subsidies from the Australian government; then formed INDOSOS.

Some of the services provided are as follows:



  • Assistance for basic needs (basic groceries),
  • Assistance in the form of Electricity / Gas / Telstra Vouchers,
  • Emergency assistance, such as funds to buy medicines prescribed by a doctor.
  • Simple food assistance for residents in need.
