Bollywood celebs cast their vote in Indian elections

The stars shared their selfies with an inked finger on their social media handles.

India’s financial and Bollywood capital, Mumbai, was among the regions that went to polls in phase four of Indian elections.

The city that is home to billionaires and Bollywood stars saw the celebs line up to cast their vote on Monday.

From Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh to their female counterparts Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, several stars posted their selfies after exercising their right to vote.

Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar came with his family, wife Anjali, daughter Sara and son Arjun, while the entire Bachchan family too was seen together after casting their votes.

The stars urged Indians to go out and vote. “This is the moment that matters… Every vote is a voice that counts,” wrote Priyanka Chopra.

“Voting is our right, let's use it wisely! The future of our country is in our hands. Let's do our duty,” said Madhuri Dixit Nene.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone quelled all doubts about her citizenship status, with her selfie. The actress, who is born in Copenhagen, Denmark, is not a Danish but an Indian citizen, was confirmed when she wrote, “Never has there been any doubt in my mind about who I am or where I’m from. So for those of you confused on my behalf...please don’t be! Jai Hind!”
