Eva Sifis declares herself a 'proud, disabled woman' and takes on a challenge even though the odds are stacked against her.


“We come in this existence with lessons to learn" says Eva Sifis. She was left with brain injuries and kinetic difficulties when she was hit by a car 19 years ago. She spent years recovering, her life as a performer became a thing of the past, she fought prejudice and cancer and became a businesswoman.

At 23 years of age, Eva Sifis' life was over. She had signed a big contract a few weeks before the accident to tour China, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea. Her career as a dancer and singer had taken off and Eva staring at stardom. Life had promised a lot to Eva Sifis. But fate had different plans.

One night of May 1999 her life changed for ever. She spent years recovering from the accident who left her with severe injuries. She had to learn everything from the beginning: how to walk, how to eat, how to dress herself, how to make new friends. But there came one day that Eva made a decision: “I put the old Eva in a box, tied it up with string and put it aside. The old Eva didn’t exist anymore. I was a new person. And that became the name of my business: By accident, a new you» she said to SBS Greek.
