Em.Prof. Gillian Triggs, president, Australian Human Rights Commission, has called for the formation of a national body of women and highlighted the low participation of women in politics, during her speech at a recent event for International Women's Day in Melbourne. The event was organised by the Food For Thought Network (Greek-Australian Women's Network) in partnership with the City of Manningham. Dina Gerolymou spoke to Prof. Triggs after the event about the status of women's movement, the treatment of refugees and her relationship with PM Malcolm Turnbull.
