It is meant to replace sinking Jakarta, which is stuck in smog, and suppose to become the new Indonesian capital. Outgoing President Joko Widodo wants to officially inaugurate the new sustainable metropolis of Nusantara later this month and thus crown his term of office. SBS correspondent Barbara Barkhausen has followed the construction of the capital from idea to implementation so far.
