How to report the birth of your child if you're a Filipino living in Australia

When a child whose parents are Filipino citizens or one parent is a Filipino citizen, it is necessary to report it to the Philippine Statistics Authority. But how do you report the birth of a Filipino child if you are in Australia?

Any Filipino in Australia who has given birth, or has recently given birth, is required to report the birth of their child to the Civil Registry of the Philippines. In Australia, the Report of Birth must be done through the Philippine Embassy or the consulate general offices in several Australian states, including the Philippine Consulate in Sydney and Melbourne.

The Report of Birth can be done from birth or within a year. If reported after a year, you must submit an additional Affidavit of Delayed Registration of Birth for the requirements.
