世界領袖齊集基督城悼念恐襲死難者

全球各國領導人今日將出席在基督城舉行之悼念儀式。

澳洲聯邦總理莫理遜、反對黨領袖索頓及總督科斯格羅夫,將聯同接近 60 個國家代表在新西蘭基督城哈格利公園(Hagley Park)舉行的死難者悼念儀式中,向兩星期前清真寺屠殺事件中 50 名死難者及數十名傷者致敬。

儀式在當地時間星期五(3 月 29 日)上午十時開始。在儀式開始前約一小時,現場約有 400 名民眾在場等候。
穆斯林信徒及領袖亦將出席儀式,但由於安全原因他們的身份不獲公開。

現場保安工作被形容為當地有使以來最大型。據報,澳洲聯邦警察的狙擊手及精英部隊亦將在公園現場巡邏,確保活動安全舉行。

新西蘭總理阿德恩走到台上準備發言的一刻,在場民眾起立向她致敬。

她說:「什麼文字足以形容我們穆斯林社群面對仇恨及暴力威脅所帶來的痛苦?什麼文字足以形容這個城市的悲傷?我認為沒有。」

「我所聽到的,是一個簡單但有力的問候『al-Salam Alaikum』,願和平臨於你身上。」

阿德恩呼籲,全球領袖應制止任何形式的暴力及極端主義思想。

她說:「他們(遇害者)的故事,已成為我們集體記憶的一部份。他們將永遠在我們心中。」

她希望,儀式將標誌國家在哀痛中展開新一頁。她說:「我將在儀式上嘗試說出今次襲擊事件對國家造成的影響及未來的去向。」

她表示,新西蘭不單是一個國家,亦是國際社會的一份子。

同時,阿德恩亦將講及要殲滅全球所有形式的極端暴力主義,這個重大挑戰。

此前,阿德恩亦表示:「我們從來都未曾擺脫種族主義,我們從來都沒有擺脫暴力意識型態。但我們的價值是平等、好憐憫、多元化。」
