悉尼市宣布了澳大利亚生活摄影比赛的28名入围者。在他们的镜头下，人们感受到一个又一个被COVID-19、干旱和洪水影响的瞬间。
悉尼市议员杰斯·米勒（Jess Miller）告诉SBS新闻：“我们的摄影师肯定感受到了COVID-19疫情的痛苦。”
她表示：“因为疫情限制，他们很容易受到创意产业活动关闭的影响。”
待解除封锁后，这些作品将于9月16日起在悉尼海德公园（Hyde Park）展出。
米勒女士表示：“这个摄影比赛是如此的多元化，它是对于澳大利亚生活的真正开放的诠释。
“从挂在晾衣绳商的卷心菜叶，到（表演者）马克西·希尔德（Maxi Shield）代表LGBT社区，再到新移民——这是一个如此宽广而美丽的混合诠释。”
“当你看到入选作品时，你会想起过去的12个月或几年是多么的艰难。这里有很多关于干旱和洪水的回忆，但也有很多沉思、孤独与坚韧的美好时刻。”

她告诉SBS新闻：“作为一名纪实摄影师，我的大部分工作都是自然而然的……我的工作是在某一刻找到构图，利用光线，而不是按照你希望的方式去创造一个场景。”
瑞斯女士说：“每年我们去那里的时候，都会用一天的时间用来拍摄，然后把喜欢的照片手机起来，做成一个系列，叫暑假生活的一天。”
她说，这张照片捕捉到了她六岁的女儿、九岁的儿子和她的伴侣的独特个性，也捕捉到了度假的欢欣感。
瑞斯说：“在经历了大流行的艰难一年，这是一段慵懒的经历。我的女儿开始上学，我的两个孩子都在家上课，我母亲诊断出癌症。”
“特别是今年，能离开这些，是一种解脱。”
