Despite the high vaccination coverage around the country, the highly transmissible nature of the Omicron Covid-19 variant is causing concerns for some, making people reluctant to participate in major public events. Some organisers of this year's Lunar New Year community events have therefore opted to postpone, if not cancel, their annual celebration.

Other events are still on but it is suggested you check the event's website for the latest updates and announcements before making any travel plans.
