The classic Australian Sunday roast gets a Chinese makeover in this recipe. This sweet-sour-salty Sichuan-inspired glaze features Chinese chilli paste (doubanjiang) , and a Sichuan spice blend to sprinkle over. Serve with rice for a complete meal.

This is a simple yet elegant dish of cod and clam, gently cooked in a rich blend of cream and white wine, and enhanced with a touch of fresh coriander. An impressive dish that comes together in under 15 minutes. Don't forget to serve with a crusty baguette to soak up all the goodness.

Eggplant agrodolce (“sweet and sour”) is a traditional Italian vegetable side dish, cooked in a sweet and sour sauce. This version features grilled eggplants, a raisin-infused sweet and sour sauce and plenty of toasted pine nuts for nutty crunch.

All the preparation is completed beforehand, and all that is needed is to preheat the oven and slip the parcels in for a maximum of 15 minutes. The parcel style adds an element of fun and surprise too.

You just can't have a date night dinner without dessert! Adam Liaw adds a slug of whisky to this classic cheesecake, adding a delightfully boozy, caramelly edge. Allow 24 hours of chilling time for the cake to fully set with a slick finish.

This granita, an Italian semi-frozen dessert that originates from the region of Sicily, requires no fancy equipment or ice cream makers. Made from sugar, water and various flavours, this only requires a baking tin and a fork to make and is ready in under 10 minutes.
