Rice balls and reindeer pops: the festive Insta posts you must see

No matter what holiday you celebrate in December, food is at the forefront of the party; so of course Instagram is looking particularly fab right now.

Aussie Instagram queen Tara Milk Tea is in America for the silly season, and her stunning post featuring these golden reindeer cake pops is going wild on Instagram.
She's not the only one making the festive season look good. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah, your family looks to Yalda or Donghzi, or none of the above, it’s likely that your kitchen table groans under the weight of delicious feasts throughout the festive period. And Australia's fave 'grammers are sharing some of the exciting action from their kitchens.

Of course, there are the delightfully adorable baked goods.
And, toast with a twist.
These colourful glutinous sticky rice balls - tangyuan - are the celebratory dish for Donghzi, the Chinese winter solstice festival that happens on December 21.
These gorgeous chocolate coated strawberries from Melbourne-based foodie Georgia McDermott are almost too delicate to bite into!
And naturally, we have to feature a pav - from our very own Adam Liaw.
For those who celebrate Hanukkah (or in some cases, Chrismukkah!), potato latkes are almost always on the menu - mmm, delicious fried treats.
Of course, it would be remiss of us to forget about a festive brekkie; and this gorgeous Christmas breakfast bowl looks too good to eat.
For those with Persian heritage, Yalda is celebrated on December 22, acknowledging the longest night of the year. Red coloured fruits are feasted on, with watermelon and pomegranate favoured.
Finally, let’s cap it off with this oozy, delicious meringue. Yum!
