East coast dumpling masters know how to create some festive cheer, so much so that they’ve relaunched their tasty holiday game, dumpling roulette.

This silly season, groups of six can spin the roulette wheel and gorge through an assortment of their greatest hit dumplings: six xiao long bao in Din Tai Fung’s signature pork, Italian black truffle with pork, and a new crab and pork chilli dumpling.

Like with any Din Tai Fung request, the delicate, soupy dumplings will be made to order in those wafer-thin pastry cases weighing in at a precise 4.8 to 5.2 grams, then filled and steamed for right on three minutes (these guys are sticklers for detail).

If that wasn't enough yuletide joy for one sitting, they’ve also launched a couple of limited-edition fruit popsicles in mixed berry with apple and guava, and mango with orange and kiwi. But your average milk bar icy poles, these are not: they’ll come served in wine glasses and topped up with your choice of either lemonade or sparkling wine. It's nearly holiday time, after all.

's dumpling roulette is available from 1 Dec - 5 Jan. $21.80 for 6 pieces. Available at all Din Tai Fung outlets except

Din Tai Fung café court venues (The Star, Westfield Sydney, Broadway, Gateway Sydney or Greenwood Plaza).
